BioEnterprise
BioEnterprise is a business formation, recruitment, and acceleration initiative designed to grow healthcare companies and commercialize bioscience technologies. Founded by Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and Case Western Reserve University in July 2002, the initiative has fostered over $2 billion in funding and attracted more than 700 companies. BioEnterprise provides client companies experienced bioscience management guidance, privileged relationships with world-class research and clinical institutions, access to bioscience venture capital and private equity firms, as well as knowledge of grant funding opportunities, business development and alliance support for strategic partnerships. It also provides a network of regional business capabilities including technical services, equipment, professional service providers, and flexible development space.
BioOhio
BioOhio focuses on accelerating Cleveland bioscience companies through connectivity, education, and resource access. The non-profit is a membership organization with nearly 400 different members. Membership includes networking, visibility, advocacy, and bioscience resource benefits as well as talent lifecycle services and savings programs. It also hosts various high-attendance events throughout the year.

Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is a program for small businesses that links learning to action. Through the program, participants will gain practical skills in topics such as negotiation, marketing, and employee management that can immediately be put into action. In addition, they will receive the tools and professional support to develop a strategic and customized growth plan that will take their business to the next level.

Mentoring Program
AT JUMPSTART
JumpStart’s mentoring program was created in partnership with MIT’s world-class Venture Mentoring Service. Based on innovative, entrepreneur-focused lessons developed at MIT, the program is specifically tailored for a fast-paced, fiercely competitive, global startup environment. Companies entering the program receive anywhere from one to four mentors, depending on their needs. This team approach provides critical experience for companies who expect to form and effectively manage boards of directors in the future.

SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
SCORE is a nonprofit association affiliated with the SBA and dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. The counselors of SCORE Cleveland are experienced business owners and managers who volunteer their experience and knowledge to help potential and existing small business owners achieve success. SCORE Cleveland counselors provide businesses with in-depth, industry-specific business assistance to help evaluate a business idea or plan, stimulate business growth and ensure long-term stability.
