The Incubator

AT BIOENTERPRISE

BioEnterprise is a business formation, recruitment, and acceleration initiative designed to grow healthcare companies and commercialize bioscience technologies.  The Incubator at BioEnterprise is a starting point for high potential  life science startups interested in a facility with access to fundamental amenities, including security, utility, and maintenance services, 24/7 access, docking facilities and more. The facility consists of two floors with office(s) and wet and dry lab space.

Clinical & Translational Science Collaborative

The Collaborative coordinates resources relevant to clinical research at Case Western Reserve University and its hospital affiliates, Cleveland Clinic, MetroHealth Medical Center, University Hospitals Case Medical Center, and the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veterans Medical Center including three Clinical Research Unit (CRU) facilities, a successful multidisciplinary institutional K12 program, substantial technological and statistical core facilities, and a M.D-Ph.D. program in clinical research.

Medical Device Solutions

AT THE CLEVELAND CLINIC

The purpose of MDS is to enhance and create innovative medical devices from ideas originating at Cleveland Clinic as well as concepts and ideas from external sources.  MDS is staffed with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who have extensive experience in medical device design and product development.  Their spaces include: Biorobotics Core Laboratory, Electronics Core Laboratory, Engineering Core Laboratory, Mechanical Core Laboratory, Polymer Core Laboratory, and Nitinol Center Core Laboratory.

AT CASE WESTERN

Case Western Reserve University’s center for innovation provides a space for anyone – especially students, faculty, and alumni – to tinker and creatively invent. Housed temporarily in a 4500 square foot space, renovations are underway on a 7-story, 50,000 square foot facility that will make this $35M project one of the largest university-based innovation centers in the world.

Ideation Station

AT CUYAHOGA COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The Ideation Station Fab Lab at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) will provide a pathway for innovation for students participating in academic and workforce programs and provide learning opportunities for individuals throughout the community.  The Fab Lab is a new creative space where students, employers, and the community-at-large will have access to the latest design technology.

AT LORAIN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The LCCC Fab Lab is based upon the concepts of Dr. Neil Gershenfeld, the director of MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms. A Fab Lab is a collection of commercially available machines that can be used to “make just about anything with features bigger than those of a computer chip.” Realistically, it offer the tools needed to “conceptualize, design, develop, fabricate, and test” a wide variety of things.  The best part is that the equipment is surprisingly easy to use.

MakerSpace

AT CLEVELAND PUBLIC LIBRARY'S TECHCENTRAL

The TechCentral MakerSpace is a creative and collaborate design and fabrication space that allows you to turn your ideas into reality. The MakerSpace is available to all Cleveland Public Library and CLEVNET member library card holders.
