Simbionix is a leader in the development and delivery of innovative and effective virtual reality simulation products and solutions for clinical education and training of medical professionals. Their products are designed to accelerate best-practice medical training, advance clinical performance, and improve patient safety. Surgeons can also use the simulator to practice a complex procedure prior to the actual surgery.

Fueled by growing demand for its medical simulation technology, Simbionix is expanding the size of its corporate headquarters in the Baker Building, located in Cleveland’s Health-Tech Corridor  - and also moving into a new research and development facility in Israel. Simbionix is adding 1,300 square feet of space to its Cleveland headquarters, bringing total square footage up to 4,300.

Simbionix was founded in Israel in 1997, and added operations in Cleveland in 2002. It was established by a small group of individuals with a multi-disciplinary background in marketing, software programming and 3-D graphics, who developed the GI Mentor™, the industry's first computer-based simulator for training endoscopic procedures skills. Since then, Simbionix has successfully launched a complete line of medical simulators, which provide medical professionals with hands-on training in a comprehensive array of Minimally Invasive Surgery procedures including:

•     PERC Mentor™ for percutaneous access procedures,
•    LAP Mentor™ - a multi disciplinary simulator for laparoscopic skills and surgery procedures, and
•    ANGIO Mentor™, a multidisciplinary simulator that provides hands-on practice in an extensive and complete simulated environment of interventional endovascular procedures
