HTC Innovators Harness the Power of Virtual and Augmented Reality for Healthcare Simulations and Training
While virtual reality continues to catch on in the gaming world, local innovators are harnessing the capabilities of the new technology to provide next generation training and education tools for the healthcare industry.  CWRU has explored VR and AR by partnering with Microsoft to create the first third-party app for Microsoft Hololens.  CWRU’s HoloAnatomy app provides students an unprecedented view inside the human body.  Companies like Bioflight VR have utilized the technology to create surgery simulations that test a practitioner’s nerves before they have to face real patients.  VR/AR medical training is in its infancy but thanks to local innovators Cleveland has a head start. One Midtown Brings New Townhomes to the Heart of the HTC
The transition of the Health-Tech Corridor from a traditional business district into a work-live-play district continues with construction starting on the new One Midtowntownhome project.  The HTC has seen a boom in apartment projects in the past year with One University CircleInnerbelt Lofts3101 Euclid, and Centric.  One Midtown now continues this trend with for sale units.  The new townhomes are eligible for a 15 year property tax abatement and the Greater Circle Living down payment assistance program.
